The Dinosaur Ice Cream box, designed by Mengying Zhang and Zhicheng Chen, combines the joy of eating ice cream with the thrill of discovering dinosaur fossils. The designers noticed the shared enthusiasm children have for both activities and decided to create a connection between them.

The box is made of plastic and measures 126mm x 86mm x 41.5mm. Its compact size makes it easy to hold and enjoy on the go. The design features a raised area that resembles a dinosaur fossil, adding an element of surprise and curiosity to the ice cream-eating experience.

What sets the Dinosaur Ice Cream box apart is its attention to detail. The designers chose a chocolate flavor for the ice cream, as it resembles the color of the earth and enhances the suggestibility of the dinosaur fossil shape before it is even eaten. This clever choice adds to the excitement and anticipation for children.

The Dinosaur Ice Cream box was created in Guangzhou, starting in July 2018 and completed in September 2018. The design team, led by Mengying Zhang and Zhicheng Chen, overcame challenges in finding the perfect connection between the product and the concept of dinosaur fossils. Their research and creativity resulted in a unique and enjoyable ice cream packaging design.

The Dinosaur Ice Cream box received the Iron A' Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Dinosaur Ice Cream box stood out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to consumers.
